When someone decides they would like to make their back yard appear different, they have a variety of options available to accomplish the look they wish. Hiring a landscaping company to help make a patio floor is one way to spruce up the appearance of a back yard.
The landscaping company would first determine how large the patio would need to be. They would place stakes around the perimeter of this area in anticipation for the addition of decorative Brick Paving Patterns. They would then dig out the soil out from this contained area. Several inches of dirt would be removed before the company places crushed gravel in its place. This would be tamped down using a tamper and additional stone can be added at this time if needed. Sand would then be poured on top of the gravel. Bricks would be placed in the sand.
After the gravel and sand is in place, the landscaping company would then start setting out the bricks in the pattern the homeowner selects. There are many brick placement combinations that can be used to make the patio appear decorative. The landscaping company would show the homeowner a few designs so they can select their favorite. They would then follow this pattern as they lay the bricks over the gravel.
After the bricks are placed in their appropriate spots, they would be pushed into the sand. This can be done by gently tapping each one with a mallet. Afterward, more sand will be poured on top of all of the bricks. This will settle in between each one, helping to keep the finished product in place. Water will then be used to wash the surface so any extra sand will be removed from the area. The sand will harden between the bricks, leaving behind a great looking patio that will be appreciated by all that view it.
